Witches Festival - Combo Ticket
Combined ticket for the Early Music and Women Festival, October 15–17, 2026, at the YMCA International in Jerusalem. Eight performances and a closing concert.
On the festival’s first day, Friday, October 16, the audience will travel from Greek mythology and Balkan sounds in “Daphnis and the Wind: A Balkan Myth” to Renaissance and Baroque Spain in “Dulcinea, My Love,” inspired by Don Quixote. Later, “A Woman’s Song” will present female voices from the 17th century exploring love, motherhood, war, and peace. The evening will conclude with High Heels, a female vocal jazz trio performing swing and arrangements in the spirit of the 1940s and 1950s.
On the festival’s second day, Saturday, October 17, “Vienna: Weimar: Siberia” will embark on a journey following the women who influenced Mozart, Mendelssohn, the Bach family, and others. “Strozzi” will be dedicated to the Venetian composer and singer Barbara Strozzi, while “Golden Apple” will bring together Baroque music and the heroines of the Bible, from Eve to Esther.
The festival will conclude with the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra in a celebratory closing concert, “Cleopatra and Giulio,” featuring mezzo-soprano Shaked Bar and conducted by David Shemer, following the figures of Cleopatra and Giulio Cesare in Baroque operas.
