A live podcast and live performance will take place on October 5, 2026, at Nocturno Live. Nir Gurly and Ohad Fishof will discuss Jerusalemite creativity and identity, followed by a performance.
A journey into the creative process, its complexities, and Jerusalemite identity, followed immediately by a live performance on stage. The series opens with a meeting between Nir Gurly and Ohad Fishof.
Nir Gurly is a journalist, broadcaster, and podcast creator, and one of the creators of “One Song”—KAN’s podcast and television series, which presents the stories behind Israeli songs. Over the years, he has created, edited, and hosted programs and podcasts about music and culture, and hosted performances and events combining songs and stories. He is a winner of the Israeli Television Academy Award and a two-time winner of the Dalia Sigan Award for Creativity in Radio.
Ohad Fishof is an interdisciplinary artist working in the intersections between visual art, live art, sound, text, movement, and image. His works in various artistic fields consistently tend toward the performative—an approach that attributes great importance to art as a shared experience in time. He works alone or in collaboration with other dancers, choreographers, musicians, and performers.
His unconventional artistic development and his works’ ongoing pursuit of increasingly integrated modes of expression regularly challenge and expand the artistic fields in which he operates. His dance, performance, video, and installation works are frequently presented in Israel and around the world. Fishof has been a teacher of Gaga, Ohad Naharin’s movement language, for twenty years, and teaches art at Bezalel and at Hamidrasha at Beit Berl.
At the end of 2025, Kishuf Vagananut was released, Ohad Fishof’s latest album. It is his first solo album since Album 1 (2019). Here too, Fishof weaves a dreamlike narrative from a multifaceted mixture of instrumental pieces and songs. The album’s formal range, moving between abstract electro-acoustic environments and avant-garde pop, creates a kind of parallel universe. Nature is present here: bubbling, glittering, thundering. People are present: conversing, declaring, yearning. Technology is present: buzzing, humming, blinking.
