A screening of animated films by the Wild Children studio will take place on October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Martef 23, Haifa. The program features works by children and teenagers.
The Jerusalem-based “Wild Children” studio has been around for 17 years. Its creators are children and teenagers whose films often draw on deeply personal stories, experiences, and stages of growing up.
The studio members’ creative processes resemble a game—always slightly wild, with rules invented along the way as the films are made. These games are always experiments that blur the boundaries of what we know about animation.
As part of the club’s program, we will show films from the past several years, ranging from the youngest to the oldest Wild Children, along with a little of the studio’s “classics.”
The Wild Children’s works have been selected for and won prizes at numerous international festivals.
