A play and lecture for parents on September 23, 2026, at the Prisma Hadassah HaKtana Center. The program includes the show “The Mother of the Most Mischievous Child in the Class” and a lecture by Idan Appelman.
The first day of school, 12:00 noon. The phone rings, and a mother is summoned to an urgent meeting at the school. She is sure she already knows what awaits her: her son, with his illustrious history of behavioral problems, is finally being expelled for good.
While enduring the nerve-racking wait on the bench outside the principal’s office, she embarks on a hilarious and touching soul-searching journey. She reckons with herself, her son (“the class troublemaker”), the system, and the other parents—right up to the final verdict. A must-see performance for every parent who has ever wondered whether they are doing it right.
After years of guilt, it is time to take charge of our lives. The problem is not that we are inadequate; it is simply that no one taught us how to talk to our brains.
Idan Appelman—entrepreneur, content creator, educator, high-tech professional, and, more recently, author. Idan was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and spent his entire life feeling like an “appendage” to this world rather than a true part of it. A few years ago, he turned on a camera and began talking about it. Tonight, he comes to you with practical tools, insights, and a calming boost for anyone living with ADHD—or raising someone who has it.
