Next Tuesday, we invite you to a lecture that we are organizing together with the Merkazim project.
The lecture will be given by guide and Hebrew teacher Zhenya Traiberman.
For decades, Israeli parties and Knesset members have been making campaign videos—from brilliant masterpieces to fierce examples of kitsch, bad taste, and outright racism. And the latter are exactly the kind of case where “it’s so bad, it’s good.” That also deserves attention.
Zhenya will take us on a virtual tour of the most memorable campaign videos in Israeli politics—with subtle humor, nostalgia, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. He will also discuss the historical context: who made these videos, why they were made that way, and how they worked—or didn’t work.
