A breathtaking fusion of poetry, ethnography, and cinema. The Armenian director’s iconic work is flooded with unforgettable images and sounds. Through a series of static frames packed with color and symbolism, it transcends the Soviet realism of its time. It was banned from distribution by the authorities at the time and over the years became one of the most influential films in the history of cinema.
