Project Kesher in Israel invites you to an interactive meeting with Margarita Slavkin, “Elections in Israel: What Happens Behind the Scenes.”

💥 The meeting will take place on September 2, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in Jerusalem.

We all know that the Knesset election process is an important stage in our country’s life. But not many people understand how this system works from the inside, what processes it involves, or how decisive one decision or another can be for what follows.

At the meeting, we will discuss what happens “behind the scenes” of elections and try to understand how family prescriptions, cultural expectations, and social pressure become subtly embedded in our everyday decisions—and how to learn to distinguish what is ours from what belongs to others.

💡 What makes a choice truly our own?
💡 Where is the difference between external influence and an inner need?
💡 How can we understand that we made a decision under pressure or manipulation?

A lively discussion with examples and questions that each participant will be able to apply to her own life.

💫 About the facilitator:

Margarita Slavkin is a member of the Petah Tikva City Council, a community activist, and coordinator of the Project Kesher group in Petah Tikva. For many years, she has worked on issues of integration, urban development, and support for the Russian-speaking community.
