where are you, mon amour? | exhibition opening at Wild Gallery
Wild Gallery presents the creative duo: Rachel and Eden Yedid. After Black Saturday 2023, Eden served in Gaza as a combat photographer, while Rachel continued working in a studio in Jerusalem. The exhibition features works created by the artists during their time apart.
WHERE ARE YOU, MON AMOUR?
Rachel Yedid is an Israeli-French artist and multidisciplinary artist based in Jerusalem. In 2013, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded her the title of “Artist of the Year” for promoting cultural projects between Israel and France. In 2011, she presented the exhibition Women’s Prelude with Raida Adon, and since then her work has been exhibited in Tel Aviv, Singapore and Rome. In 2012, she represented Israel at the PROCHE exhibition at the Salon d’Art Contemporain at the Grand Palais in Paris.
Eden Yadid is an Israeli filmmaker and photographer based in Jerusalem. Eden graduated with a degree in film from the Higher School of Art. She works with analog photography and creates independent documentaries. She served in the army as a photographer and took part in army events. Eden served in the reserves as a combat photographer from the beginning of the Iron Swords mission, documenting two reserve units during their extended deployment to Gaza. In 2023, she was featured in the Behind the Scenes exhibition, which featured photographs of male and female reservists taken during combat.
