The milk has already dried on Taiga’s lips. He is no longer the handsome, mischievous gay youth with his whole future ahead of him, but a 35-year-old man barely making a living as a masseur at a bathhouse, where he is sometimes required to go beyond his duties for additional payment. When his father falls ill and it becomes clear that he will not recover, a bitter struggle over the family property breaks out between Taiga and his sister. But behind the question of ownership lie deeper questions: Taiga’s place in the family lineage, his relationship with his father, and the future he has left—and in this struggle, he seems to be at a disadvantage. A beautiful and moving film, based on stories collected by director Anshul Chauhan, examining a family conflict in which questions of property, belonging, and justice become increasingly intertwined.
Winner of the Best Actor Award, 2025 Busan International Film Festival.
