Czechoslovakia, late 1960s. Tomáš and Pavel, two brothers who are complete opposites, cope in different ways with the reality imposed on them by the communist regime. While Pavel sets his sights on an influential position at Czechoslovak Radio, it is דווקא Tomáš, the cautious and introverted one of the two, who surprises everyone and gets the job. As the regime tightens its control over the media, the station’s staff tries to continue reporting on what is happening around them, even when every word could put them at risk. Against the backdrop of the Prague Spring and the events that would lead to the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš must choose between his desire to protect his family and his commitment to the truth.
