Victor Shenderov will present a literary evening featuring new and classic texts about life in Russia. The program includes rarely performed works, satire, and reflections on the current times. The evening will conclude with an autograph session and a presentation of the writer's new books.
October 22, Haifa: Viktor Shenderovich presents the literary evening "Gadyukino Village: Weather Forecast."
Writer, journalist, playwright, and long-time contributor to the legendary program Kukly (Dolls), he is a laureate of prestigious literary and journalism awards. His name has long become a symbol of intellectual satire, and his books and performances consistently evoke a lively response from audiences.
"Gadyukino Village" has long entered Russian folklore. The author of this famous sketch has, over the years, been labeled a TV star, a marginal figure, a "foreign agent," and finally, a "terrorist." However, this trajectory says much more about the era than about the author himself.
The program features new and classic texts, including rarely performed pieces about our "native village," the time in which we live, and what is happening to us.
At the end of the evening: an autograph session and presentation of Viktor Shenderovich's new books.
