A content session with Ilana Dayan about behind the scenes of “Uvda,” at Zappa Haifa, 4 Moshe Pliman Road.
How do we arrive at the truth and establish the facts? How do we find the way to ask the difficult questions as well? How do we tell Israel’s story over the past three years—including the story of the wars we have endured, the story of the heroes, and the trauma? And what remains deeply in Ilana’s heart from the people she has met and the stories she has told over the years?
In this talk, Ilana Dayan takes us behind the scenes of Uvda. She shares dramatic stories, difficult dilemmas, exposed and less-exposed moments, and reveals what the work of an investigative journalist looks like—someone who tries both to touch us and to tell the truth about the reality of our lives.
Don’t miss it!
Ilana Dayan has been broadcasting on radio and television since enlisting as a young soldier in the Israel Defense Forces’ Army Radio station, Galei Tzahal. She served there as a foreign-news editor and as a political and parliamentary correspondent, hosted the morning news program, and simultaneously completed her law studies.
Since Channel 2 began broadcasting, she has hosted the investigative program Uvda, now the longest-running program on television, broadcast on Keshet 12.
