Venice, early 18th century. At the city’s largest orphanage, talented young women study music. Twenty-year-old Cecilia is one of them, and despite her exceptional talent and dreams of art and freedom, she performs only for the orphanage’s wealthy patrons, behind bars that conceal her. But with the arrival of spring, an exciting change takes place in her life, giving her the courage to pursue her passion and break free. This change begins with a meeting with the new violin teacher, Antonio Vivaldi—later, one of the greatest composers of all time.
