Kumiko Workshop – Building Wooden Patterns Using a Traditional Japanese Method

Kumiko is a traditional Japanese art in which delicate, precise wooden patterns are built from thin sticks. During the workshop, we will learn to measure and sand each stick gently and patiently until it fits perfectly with the other pieces—without nails or glue, using only clever joinery. It is both a challenge and a meditation: creating geometric shapes, focusing on the smallest details, and finally enjoying the delicate appearance of light filtering through the lines of the wood!
