Cuban music concert with Evelin Dupuy and Daniel Lopez Montejo.
Cuban singer Evelyn Dupuy—one of the most recognizable voices in which the very soul of Cuba can be heard—is coming to “Hot Jazz” with a special program dedicated to Buena Vista Social Club, the legendary project that brought the world back the charm of Cuban son, bolero, and cha-cha-cha.
Joining her onstage will be singer Daniel López Montejo, an artist whose work is deeply rooted in Cuban musical tradition. Their voices will merge in harmonies filled with warmth, sincerity, and the authentic breath of Cuba’s traditional music.
The artists will be accompanied by a Cuban instrumental ensemble recreating the full-blooded sound of Havana. On electric bass: Fernando Knopf, the program’s musical director and one of the prominent figures on Israel’s Latin American music scene.
The concert will feature beloved classics from the Buena Vista Social Club repertoire, including: “Dos Gardenias,” “Chan Chan,” “El Cuarto de Tula,” and “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás.”
An evening full of soul, rhythm, and bright nostalgia—a true Cuban celebration in which the spirit of Buena Vista comes alive onstage once again in all its power!
