A concert of Cuban music will take place on June 13, 2027, in the Main Hall of the Center for the Performing Arts in Beersheba.
Cuban vocalist Evelyn Dupuy, whose voice reflects the deep soul of Cuba, invites you to a concert in the “Hot Jazz” series. She will present a special program dedicated to Buena Vista Social Club—the iconic project that once again popularized Cuban son, bolero, and cha-cha-cha.
She will be joined onstage by Daniel López Montejo, a singer whose work is deeply connected to the Cuban musical tradition. Their voices will merge into a harmony filled with warmth, sincerity, and the living heritage of national music.
They will be accompanied onstage by a Cuban instrumental ensemble led by Fernando Knopf on electric bass, who is the musical director of the evening and a prominent figure on Israel’s Latin American music scene.
The concert will delight audiences with classic compositions from the Buena Vista Social Club repertoire, including hits such as “Dos Gardenias,” “Chan Chan,” “El Cuarto de Tula,” and “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás.”
This evening promises to be filled with emotion, rhythms, and warm nostalgia, transporting the audience to the atmosphere of a Cuban celebration, where the spirit of Buena Vista comes alive onstage in all its glory.
