Over 20 years of international activity, Balkan Beat Box (BBB) have established themselves as one of the most beloved, successful, and groundbreaking acts to emerge from Israel. The band members will get the festival dancing with material from their latest album, Wild Wonder, which they worked on along the route between the desert Negev at Kibbutz Tze’elim and the bustling city of Tel Aviv, along with hits and rhythms from all periods and the diverse styles of the group. Balkan Beat Box’s up-to-date sound brings to the stage the band’s winning formula: dynamic, cosmopolitan music combining songs from the new album with the massive hits that have become the soundtrack of us all.
Especially for the festive closing show of the festival’s 40th edition, Balkan Beat Box will host groove queen Karolina and the captivating contemporary rapper Teddy Neguse. They will be joined by Yaron Ouzana on trombone and Asa Cook on trumpet.
Backed by their regular team of musicians—Ron Bunker, Yael Zalinger, and Itamar Ziegler—Balkan Beat Box will present a physical, energetic tour de force combining heavy electronic beats, Balkan touches, trumpets, drums, and razor-sharp rap. This one-time, explosive collaboration will close the festival’s 40th-anniversary celebrations with an immense blast of rhythm, movement, and unforgettable joy.
Performance duration: 70 minutes
