Independent jeep tour in the Land of Monasteries. Meet at the gas station at Almog Junction and finish on Route 1, with Dead Sea scenery and history.
A route rich in scenery and history to the Monastery Land in the Dead Sea Valley, a place where time stood still for more than 50 years. We will begin the route at Qasr al-Yahud, the third-most important site in Christianity, and from there travel through the mysterious Monastery Land (with coordination and approval from the IDF; the area is closed to the general public and will be opened especially for us), along the Jordan River, past historic Beit HaArava, the Abdullah Bridge, and the historic potash plant, to the northern Dead Sea. (The trip is coordinated and accompanied by the military and is safe for travel.) From there, we will continue with off-road driving and climb Jabal Haroun for a spectacular view of the Dead Sea.
