Staying in Motion: An Experiential Workshop for Personal Resilience in a Period of Uncertainty
Facilitated by Omer Barnea
How do we keep moving when the reality around us keeps changing?
The past few years have brought prolonged periods of uncertainty, war, change, and crises—a reality that requires us to adapt again and again, and to keep functioning at work, in our studies, in our relationships, and in life, even when our system is already overloaded.
“Staying in Motion” is an experiential workshop that explores resilience not as a theoretical idea, but as an ability that can be identified, strengthened, and practiced.
During the session, we will pause for a moment and examine:
✨ What happens to me during periods of prolonged stress?
✨ What strengthens me and what drains me?
✨ What is within my control, and what is it time to let go of?
✨ Where is my boundary, and how do I maintain it?
✨ Who and what are my sources of support?
✨ How can we rebuild a sense of choice, capability, and forward movement?
The workshop combines movement, games, individual and group exercises, pair work, discussion, and reflection—in an accessible, pleasant, and nonjudgmental atmosphere.
Through experiential activities, we will address regulation and coping with stress, identifying and strengthening personal resources, maintaining boundaries, flexibility and adapting to change, and strengthening a sense of capability and connection with others as a source of resilience.
The session allows each participant to take something personal and practical from it, while also creating a shared experience of connection, humanity, and collective strength.
Wednesday | 14.10 | 18:00 | Start-Up Young Adults Center | 16 HaShalom Street, Be’er Sheva
