Su-ha, 25, lives in a small city in South Korea called Sokcho, which attracts many tourists to its seashore and nearby parks. She regularly visits her mother, a fishmonger, and spends time with her boyfriend, but overall, life is rather dull—especially during the winter months.
One day, a French artist named Yan Kerr (Roschdy Zem) arrives at the hotel where she works. Kerr is looking for inspiration, while Su-ha seeks to fill a void in her life, and a delicate bond begins to develop between them.
The debut film by Koya Kamura—one of the most beautiful films of the autumn—comes straight from its world premieres at the Toronto and San Sebastián film festivals. Kamura explores questions of identity and presents an unconventional love story set against chilly landscapes, featuring captivating performances by Roschdy Zem and Bella Kim.
