Saturday hike with Gadi’s Hikers’ Club, guided by Ahab. Southern Mount Hebron, Yatir Forest, Tel Arad, the ancient synagogue at Horvat Anim, and golden crocus blossoms in Yatir Forest.
A region outside the popular hiking map, offering surprising sites, cultural heritage, nature, and landscapes. We will visit Tel Arad—one of the most important tels in Israel, containing unique remains of ancient cultures from different periods, including a distinctive ritual site modeled after the Temple. We will tour Dura, a cave-dweller village preserving a culture of residence and life in the many caves scattered throughout the Hebron Hills. We will visit Horvat Anim and see the remains of an ancient synagogue in an early Jewish settlement. We will conclude with the blooming of Yatir’s golden crocuses—the golden flower peeking out from the rock.

The hike will take place subject to a minimum number of participants. The itinerary may change at the organizers’ discretion, due to the security situation, various constraints, and weather conditions.
