About the Show

The Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO) is a contemporary dance company celebrating 50 years since its founding. The company performs at festivals and on international tours, repeatedly earning critical acclaim and standing ovations from audiences. Its repertoire, which includes original works alongside representative works by renowned and emerging choreographers, combines contemporary/modern dance with African-American elements, similar to the style of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The two companies collaborate through joint projects, dancer exchanges, and choreography.

Sixteen thrilling dancers will perform exciting works by leading choreographers in African-American dance.
