A dance and music performance by the Vertigo Dance Company and an ensemble led by Itamar Doari, on 15.10.2026 at the auditorium in Haifa. A work between structured movement and improvisation.
Haifa Dance Series, 2026/27 Season
A unique collaboration between a musical ensemble led by Itamar Doari and the Vertigo Dance Company has created a one-time performance moving between patterns and structured dance and free, improvised creation.
In a reality where the familiar order is repeatedly unraveled, the work, too, seeks to disrupt order, leaving open and unknown areas that take shape before the audience’s eyes.
This is an invitation to glimpse the space from which inspiration emerges—from music to the movement of the body and back again. By watching the performance, the audience becomes a partner in the work’s creative process.
The performance was created out of a desire to follow the movement of the heart as it contracts and expands, and the movement of the eyes as they close and open wide again. The dancers’ moments of improvisation require deep listening to the music and to what is happening around them, so they can lean into the here and now.
Even when everything outside is noisy, the dancers’ movement searches for an anchor to hold on to between rising and falling, to find the spaces between sound and sound and movement and movement, where they can rest.
The proceeds from the performance Kuma will be dedicated to the Vertigo Resilience Project—rehabilitation for soldiers and their families.
