A jazz and swing performance by The Hermlins Band from Berlin, featuring classics from the 1930s and 1940s.
The International Series: The Hermlins Band (Berlin)
Swing is back—and bigger than ever—with the three Hermlin family members from Berlin, accompanied by a rhythm section, in a particularly exhilarating concert.
Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Tommy Dorsey—all on one stage with the HERMLINS:
They are among Europe’s leading names in recreating and renewing the classic sound of swing’s golden age. They are regarded as prominent figures in Europe for preserving and reviving the tradition of classic swing from the 1930s and ’40s.
This is not merely a repertoire—it is an artistic mission.
Andrej Hermlin, pianist and conductor, has devoted his life to recreating the original sound of the great swing orchestras of the golden age. With authentic arrangements and a meticulous playing style, he brings the elegance and energy of the era back to the stage.
Alongside him are his children:
Rachel Hermlin, a singer with an impressive stage presence and a clear, precise voice, successfully combining stylistic authenticity with contemporary freshness.
David Hermlin, drummer, singer and charismatic performer, brings to the stage the rhythm, smile and virtuosity of the great swing artists.
Their family connection creates a rare dynamic: deep attentiveness, genuine joy in performing and infectious energy that captivates audiences throughout Europe.
In a show full of style, rhythm and sparkling nostalgia, they remind us of one simple thing:
Swing is not a memory of the past. It is alive, breathing—and uplifting.
An elegant, rhythmic musical experience filled with joie de vivre.
