Hot jazz returns—big time—with three members of the Hermlin family from Berlin, accompanied by a rhythm section, in an especially gripping concert. Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and Tommy Dorsey—all on one stage with The Hermlins. Rachel Hermlin, Andrej Hermlin, and David Hermlin are among the most prominent names in Europe for recreating and renewing the classic sound of the Golden Age of Swing. They are considered leading figures in Europe in preserving and revitalizing the classic swing tradition of the 1930s and 40s. This is not just a repertoire—it is an artistic mission.
Andrej Hermlin, pianist and conductor, has dedicated his life to recreating the original sound of the great big bands of the Golden Age. With authentic arrangements and meticulous playing style, he brings back to the stage the elegance and energy of that era. Alongside him are his children: Rachel Hermlin, a singer with a striking stage presence and clear, precise voice, who successfully combines stylistic authenticity with contemporary freshness; and David Hermlin, a charismatic drummer, singer, and performer who brings the rhythm, smile, and virtuosity of the great swing artists to the stage.
