A dance performance by the Yaniv Hoffman Dance Company on May 6, 2027, at Haifa Auditorium. The work explores home, relationships, and the tension between the private and the public.
Haifa Dance Series, 26/27 Season
HOME was born at the heart of a turbulent period, in which the boundaries between the private home and the public sphere are painfully blurred.
Through movement, modular costumes, and elements that are built and dismantled—protecting or restricting—the work offers an intimate and incisive exploration of reality’s impact on personal relationships: romantic partnerships, family, and society.
In days when the home is trembling and the chaos outside seeps inward, HOME offers a space for questions: Are we falling apart because of external reality, or has the disintegration already taken place within? Who holds whom—the home the person, or the person the home? The external reality imposed upon us all reverates within us—with loneliness, conflict, and a longing for healing.
The stage as home, the garment as prison, the body as an exposed space. HOME grows out of a personal rupture and from there turns toward a collective experience.

“The audience finds itself torn between watching the moving body and listening to the sounds. At every moment, a new dialogue is created between the private body and the collective voice, between instinct and emotion. HOME is not merely a dance performance, but an emotional experience that reminds us how much power there is in silence, movement, and one shared breath.”
Yuval Erel, Tarbut Music Magazine
“Through rapid movement and the use of colorful, modular costumes, the entire stage becomes destabilized and transforms between a safe environment and one that is exposed, painful, and collapsing. Fast, colorful, never a dull moment—smart, wonderful dance that every kind of audience will be happy to watch.”
Tzvika Burg, La’Isha
“The performance combines lightness and depth with a remarkably precise soundtrack. It raises questions about belonging, from the individual to the group. The dancers move between synchrony and disharmony, like a home testing its own stability. An experience that tightens the stomach and delights in the same breath.”
Hadas Glazer, Time Out
“Restraining harnesses, swirling skirts, a hood that covers and silences the mouth. Hoffman creates, with a masterful hand full of emotion, a diverse and rich movement composition. The company surrenders to his ‘sculpting’ as material in the hands of its creator, with excellent technique and without conditions. A rare and powerful partnership.”
