Hike in Adullam Grove Nature Reserve!
A season of blossoms, spring in full swing, and jubilant nature. 16 kilometers of woodland, caves and rocks, vineyards and orchards, mountain trails and carpets of flowers. Remains of ancient villages emerge from what was once the “Gush Dan” of the Kingdom of Judah.
Adullam-France Park lies in the heart of the Judean Lowlands, an area of low hills rising approximately 400 meters above sea level and mostly covered with Mediterranean woodland. The land of wine and a thousand caves.
In the distant past, the area was densely populated. Thousands of residents lived above and beneath the rounded hills, leaving traces across the landscape: caves, terraces, settlements, water cisterns and walls.
Sites we will encounter along the way: Tel Sokho, Hurvat Itri, Me’arot Riv’o, and Nahal Sho’e.
The hike is intended for experienced hikers. Circular route. Starting point: Tel Sokho.
Duration: 3 hours
Target audience: Experienced hikers
Cost: 180 NIS
Transportation: Self-arranged
