About the Activity

In the heart of the Judean Lowlands, in the green expanse between Beit Shemesh and Beit Guvrin, the magical hills of Britannia Park await us.

This is a place where wild nature meets planted forests, together creating a spectacular mosaic of rich Mediterranean woodland.

Together, we will set out from the Sarigim Campground along the “Oaks Trail”—a route combining beauty and stories.

Along the way, we will discover fascinating archaeological remains hidden among the trees, walk through ancient orchards, and enjoy colorful seasonal blooms covering the landscape.

As we walk, we will solve the mystery: Why was the park named after Britain? We will also learn to distinguish between the different types of oak trees that adorn the landscape.

Come walk along paths where ancient history comes to life among carpets of spring blossoms—a peaceful and beautiful experience for the whole family!
