The "Flying Camel" project celebrates its 10th anniversary with a grand overnight hike in the forest near Jerusalem. The program includes an evening walk through the Tzuba Gardens, color fights, and a Saturday route to the Satap and Even Sapir springs. Participants are responsible for providing their own tents, sleeping bags, and food.
In September, the project "Flying Camel" is celebrating its 10th anniversary. On Friday, September 4, I plan to mark this milestone with a grand HoliVar (debate/discussion), a walk, and an overnight stay in the forest near Jerusalem. Additionally, Kevya the stuntman and I plan to set up ropes and harnesses in the forest. It will be fun!
PLAN FOR THE CELEBRATION HIKE
We meet on Friday at 16:00 near Tsuba Kibbutz. We will set up camp in the Astronauts Forest – opposite the entrance to the kibbutz. After setting up camp, we will head out on a fruit route through the orchards near Tel Tsuba and the Crusader fortress of Belmont.
This area is currently full of figs and wild grapes. The evening route is approximately 7 km long.
The Saturday route begins at 7:00 AM. We will visit the Sataf springs and the Even Sapir spring. The route length is 10–12 km.
Please bring water, snacks, hiking shoes, a sleeping mat, tent, sleeping bag, and flashlight.
I plan to buy paint for each participant costing 20-30 shekels. Despite the high cost, the event is "conditionally free." As is customary for house parties, at the end of the hike, everyone can throw into a hat as much as they see fit.
I promise to spend the money scouting future routes!
