Come and explore independently with TRIP TALK! A special and experiential audio guiding for the whole family.
Welcome to Beit Alpha National Park. In our tour today, we will visit an ancient synagogue dating back 1,500 years.
In 1928, while works were being done to lay a water pipe to the kibbutzim, a beautiful mosaic was discovered under the earth in the valley; it was the first mosaic floor of a synagogue uncovered in the Land of Israel.
We will hear about Gideon the Judge who fought the Midianites on Mount Gilboa and discover whether Israel has any luck, are you ready?
At the site, there will be zodiac games, ancient Hebrew script, and an independent activity booklet "Discover the Secrets of the Mosaic" for the autumn season.
Additionally, mosaic workshops will be held (for a symbolic fee of 10 ₪).
The site is accessible, the synagogue is covered and air-conditioned, with parking, picnic tables, restrooms, and a visitor service center.
