Enemies, A Love Story
A gripping and unsettling stage adaptation based on the book by Isaac Bashevis Singer, adapted by Noa Lazar-Keenan.
New York, 1949.
The city is bustling, the world is trying to recover from the war, and Herman Broder seeks to start over.
He lives between two women: his wife, a Polish peasant who saved his life during the war, and a beautiful, wounded young woman to whom he is drawn, sweeping him into a stormy and passionate affair—just as his first wife suddenly returns from the dead.
Amid guilt, desire, survival, and increasingly tangled lies, Herman tries to hold on to the future without looking back.
But the past will not let go.
Director: Shir Goldberg
