When Effie decides to end her unhappy marriage to Boaz, her world turns upside down. Her husband, a respected high-tech professional, adamantly refuses to release her and give her a Jewish divorce. Effie, trying her best to part on good terms, finds herself fighting for her freedom in front of the rabbinical court and against her children at home. She repeatedly tries to bring Boaz to a compromise and solution, but to no avail. When Boaz successfully rallies the entire community against her, Effie realizes she must go to war. Will she succeed in freeing herself?

Currently, thousands of women in Israel are denied a Jewish divorce, battling daily for years for the right to be free.

The play is accompanied by the song "Eshet Ish" by Aya Korem.
