In Mea Shearim, a group of women decided to rebel against the community leadership to save one of their own from a miserable and violent marriage. They use the only ancient and effective weapon at their disposal: avoiding their husbands. They refuse to go to the mikveh and initiate a plan of abstaining from marital relations until their friend is freed from the shackles of her marriage.

"Moradot" is an emotional and funny drama by Amnon Levy that presents a women's struggle for equality in the most unexpected place. The women of the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood decide that the value of mutual support for a woman in distress outweighs even the mitzvah of procreation and multiplication. They bravely confront the men, suffer ostracism and persecution, yet continue their struggle despite the heavy cost.
