The masterpiece by Israel’s greatest playwright, Hanokh Levin,

which succeeds in combining bitter humor with the sadness of human existence,

receives a new musical interpretation by composer Avi Benjamin,

one of Gesher Theatre’s leading creators.

Gesher Theatre actors, accompanied by a live orchestra on stage,

perform the story of Krum—who returns to his hometown after failing abroad,

and discovers a hopeless reality: a world of small people with big dreams that have not come true.

Twenty-five years have passed since Hanokh Levin’s death, and 50 years since “Krum” was written.

To mark the occasion, the play takes the stage—for the first time as a musical production,

in a version unlike anything previously seen in Israeli theatre.
