A mother and daughter play a game in which every sentence gives birth to a new, almost tangible imaginary world.
“I wish we had a farm.”
“I wish we had a farm with lots of animals in the yard.”
“I wish we had a farm with lots of animals in the yard and cats inside the house...”
From this exchange of words emerges a ping-pong of movement, trust, and intimacy, revealing the delicate bond between parent and child—the desire to unite alongside the need to separate.
This dance work invites the audience to contemplate the profound, one-of-a-kind relationships they weave with their children.
Dafi Eltabbeb, partner in life and artistic creation of Nini Moshe, and mother of Sophia, is the recipient of the Minister of Culture Award for Young Dance Creators in 2012, 2013, and 2016; the 2014 Rosenblum Award from the Tel Aviv Municipality; and the 2018 Minister of Culture Award for the performance of It’s Now. It’s Never.
She has been creating passionately since 2005 and is a member of the Choreographers’ Association. She is the artistic director and choreographer of the Dafi Eltabbeb Dance Company.
