After Turning All Four Mentors’ Chairs on VoiceThe: Omri Sabach Opens a New Chapter
Some artists come to a reality show so the audience can get to know them. Omri Sabach came to VoiceThe after the audience already knew his voice.
After years of creating music, millions of views, and hits such as “Ad HaMidbar,” “Le’an SheHaRuach Tikach,” “Mistabech,” and “Ba Ba Elegant,” Omri stepped onto the VoiceThe stage this season with the goal of opening a new chapter.
In his audition, he performed “Ani Lo Mafsik Lehitregesh Mimcha” by Danny Robas. Within minutes, all four mentors—Static, Noa Kirel, Eden Ben Zaken, and Idan Raichel—turned their chairs toward him. Ultimately, Omri chose to join Static’s team.
Now, just after his journey on the show has ended and following his renewed exposure to Israeli audiences, comes the next step.
On November 19, Omri Sabach will take the stage at Reading 3 in Tel Aviv for the first time in his career, for his first performance since VoiceThe.
Omri began creating music as a teenager. Over the years, he made his way through Israel’s music industry, until his major breakthrough with “Ad HaMidbar,” which became one of his most recognizable songs and accumulated millions of views. This was followed by “Le’an SheHaRuach Tikach” and additional songs that brought him to new audiences and stages across the country.
In the years since, Omri has continued to write, record, perform, and search for his precise voice as an artist. When he arrived at VoiceThe, he was no longer the young singer waiting for someone to discover him, but an artist with a journey behind him who chose to stand before the audience once again and start anew.
The audition in which all four mentors turned their chairs became the moment that marked the beginning of this chapter. VoiceThe was the stage where the audience met Omri anew.
This new period is also accompanied by new music. In recent months, Omri released “Achat VeLaNetzach,” which he wrote and composed together with Alon Peretz, followed by “Nofel Po,” a personal and exposed song that chooses to speak דווקא about the places where we fall—and about the strength to rise from them again.
Perhaps this is also the most accurate way to describe Omri as he now arrives at Reading 3: not an attempt to recreate what has already been, and not relying on a single moment from the past, but taking the entire journey and turning it into what comes next.
In the new show, Omri will connect the songs that have accompanied his career with his new material and the artist he is today.
On November 19, this entire journey will come together in one evening—with the songs, the hits, a full band, and the energy of Reading 3.
Come join us. It’s going to be joyful.
