In 1956, Avraham Shlonsky bestowed the name Tmuna upon a center for advanced culture. Over its seventy years of existence, it has been a free and opinionated home for Israeli culture in all its facets, a spring of concert series, theater, and stand-up comedy. The Israeli Opera presents a tribute to these wonderful series and to the artists who were an inseparable part of the stage.
In 1956, Avraham Shlonsky bestowed the name Tzava'a upon a center for advanced culture for people "who seek knowledge and creativity in pursuit of the good" (Shlonsky). For seventy years, Tzava'a has been a free-spirited and intellectual home for Israeli culture in all its facets, a spring of concert series, theater, and stand-up comedy, becoming an integral part of Israel's cultural landscape.
