Workshop "Writing Games" Facilitated by Michael Ebes
In a workshop of 5 sessions (each lasting one hour), the children will be introduced to writing styles, puzzles and mysteries, fables and proverbs, and will also try their hand at story writing. With a final product in the form of a booklet for each child at the end of the workshop. Session 1: Meeting the writer, which will also include parents. Session 2: Puzzles and what lies between them. How do you invent a puzzle? Session 3: Fables and proverbs. How were they created? And how will the children themselves write
In this five-session workshop (one hour per session), children will explore writing styles, riddles and mysteries, fables and proverbs, and gain hands-on experience in story writing. Each child will receive a personal booklet upon completion.
Session 1: Introduction to the author/writer (includes parents).
Session 2: Riddles and what’s between them. How to invent a riddle?
Session 3: Fables and proverbs. How were they created? And how will the children themselves craft a new fable or proverb?
Session 4: Co-writing a story in a free style.
Session 5: Editing the book and writing a short autobiography about the authors.
The final product will be distributed within two weeks of the course ending, in the form of two books for each child.
This workshop is designed for boys and girls in grades 2 through 6 (ages 7–11).
