Itai’s Palace

A child’s room is the center of his universe…

Itai’s Palace invites the audience to meet Itai in his private room. Together with a new friend named Amit, the audience will discover a new world within the four walls of his room.

Inside a “palace” made of colorful lights, the two characters explore ideas and thoughts related to rooms, homes, and families. They talk about the people who live in their homes and their relationships with them, the foods they most enjoy eating, and their secret fantasies about dream homes they know from stories, fairy tales, and films.

Through movement, singing, text, and humor, the performers bring the concept of “home” to life. The work is accompanied by a soundtrack composed of songs by Arik Einstein, creating a bridge between fantasy and reality—a bridge children often walk across.

Rachel Erdos is an award-winning choreographer working in Israel and abroad. Born in Britain, after completing a master’s degree in choreography with distinction, she immigrated to Israel in 2002 and has since become one of the country’s busiest and leading choreographers. Her works have been presented on stages in Israel and around the world—including Australia, the United States, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Peru, Italy, and more.

For the past 22 years, she has worked continuously as an independent choreographer—a member of the Choreographers’ Association—as well as an artistic director and artistic consultant to leading choreographers in Israel. She teaches and conducts dance workshops, and her works are presented on stages throughout the country and digitally.

Her works include: Intimacy in 36 Questions, Tone Deaf, Citadel, Vanity, and The Man Upstairs.
