Four women join together in a movement that is an immersive blend of matter, womanhood, longing, and prayer. A connection born of yearning for a primordial encounter, like the longing of the upper waters for the lower waters.

Fluidity, crystallization, mud salt, cracks, and images of a woman carrying longing through her. A wall becomes a world, opening through projected video art of a woman taking shape with the materials of creation.

Four women—religious and secular—and a dance taking shape from the raw to the human and the wondrous. Beyond the wall, beyond separateness, toward a world of possibilities and the light of creation.

Sharon Haleli Asa is a choreographer and creator for stage and film, a dance researcher, and a teacher with more than 30 years of experience. She heads the Dance Department at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic Center and is a member of the Choreographers’ Association. She holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Arts Education and developed the “Movement Art” approach: dance–healing–life.

Her works seek to touch society through art and create connections and communication through the language of dance. These include works that create connections between Arab and Jewish communities, between religious and secular people, between humans and nature, between dance and the multidisciplinary gallery, and between dance and film.
