A personal monodrama about being on the autism spectrum at Tzavta Theatre, Tel Aviv. Omri Leibovich tells, in the first person, about acceptance, difference, and empowerment.
Omri Leibovich, an actor and creator diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, plays himself and speaks in the first person, in direct and honest language, about the personal and social challenges he faces. In his new solo performance, he redefines himself as an “artist” and invites the audience to join him on an inspiring journey of acceptance and empowerment.
Omri breaks down the concept of “autistic,” rebuilds it, and gives it a fascinating interpretation. In his unique way, Omri interweaves dramatic and touching moments with interludes of humor and optimism. He is looking for a partner, remembers his first love, dreams about the future, and also explores his complex encounters with those around him—friends, parents, teachers, and therapists. Through his personal story, he confronts accepting his diagnosis and shows us the positive aspects of being special.
This performance is not only about Omri—it is about all of us: about the ability to see the beauty in difference and to understand that even through difficulties, it is possible to find the strength to be exactly who we are.
