The award-winning contemporary choreographer and performer Hillel Kogan appears as a fascinated tourist arriving from contemporary dance into the world of flamenco.
He engages in a pointed dialogue full of humor, text, and dance with Israeli flamenco icon Michal Natan, while respecting a rich and distant art form that is a cultural heritage site. The meeting between Hillel Kogan and Michal Natan, and between Israeli identity and Spanish art, seeks to expose flamenco as a site of artistic and political discourse.
Kogan adopts a critical perspective on questions of identity and, through flamenco, seeks to embody another identity.
