An author event with Ksenia Svetlova at the Isradon Book House in Tel Aviv. A conversation about the Middle East, journalism, and the author’s book.
You are invited to an exclusive author event with Ksenia Svetlova, where we will discuss not only her book In Heels Across the Middle East, but also how the entire region is changing before our eyes. Wars and diplomacy, old enemies and new alliances, threats and challenges—but also opportunities for cooperation that emerge even in the most difficult times. The event will take place in Tel Aviv.
The Middle East is changing again—rapidly, dramatically, and at times completely unpredictably.
What is happening to the region after October 7? How has Gaza changed? How might the war with Iran end? Why is Turkey transforming from a partner for some into a new threat for others? And most importantly—what new alliances and opportunities are emerging where, until recently, it seemed that only conflicts were possible?
How might the war with Iran end?
We will also discuss the book—what it is like to be a woman journalist on the battlefield and in revolutionary squares, which interviews were the most fascinating, and which situations caught her off guard.
In Heels Across the Middle East is not only a book about travel and journalistic work. It is a story about a region that is constantly changing, and about people trying to survive, negotiate, love, fight, and build a future there.
There will be plenty of stories, unexpected details, and analysis—as well as, of course, an opportunity to ask your questions.
The book will be available for purchase at the event, with an opportunity to have it signed by the author.
