Jazz in Paris

Deborah Dery’s Trio invites you on a musical journey through beloved French chanson classics, presented in a new interpretation—with elegant and inspired jazz arrangements. The program will feature such timeless gems as La Vie en Rose, La Javanaise, Que reste-t-il de nos amours?, as well as other songs by Édith Piaf, Serge Gainsbourg, Claude Nougaro, and the great masters of French chanson. Parisian charm meets the freedom of jazz improvisation.

The connection between chanson and jazz is an integral part of France’s musical tradition. For decades, jazz musicians have breathed new life into French classics, combining the elegance and lyricism of chanson with the harmonic richness and creative freedom of jazz.

Deborah Dery is one of the prominent representatives of the younger generation of Israel’s jazz scene—a singer, pianist, and composer with an individual, lyrical, and emotional style. After releasing her first mini-album in 2019, she presented her debut album, Blossom Time, in 2024, bringing together her original music and performances with leading musicians from the local jazz scene.

An intimate, elegant, and enchanting evening will transport you straight to Parisian cafés and jazz clubs.
