About Our Speakers:
Itamar Ben-Gvir serves as Israel’s Minister of National Security and is the
Chairman of the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) political party. Born on May 6,
1976, Ben-Gvir studied law and became active in Israeli public and political
affairs at a young age. He was first elected to the Knesset in 2021 and has
served as a member of the 24th and 25th Knessets. Following the 2022 elections,
he was appointed Minister of National Security in the 37th Government of Israel,
a position he has held with a brief interruption in early 2025.
As Minister of National Security, Ben-Gvir has responsibility for a ministry
whose areas of authority include the Israel Police, Israel Prison Service and
National Fire and Rescue Authority. During his tenure, he has emphasized public
security, law enforcement, policing and what he describes as strengthening
governance and personal security.
Yishai Fleisher is the International Spokesperson for the Jewish Community of
Hevron. Yishai works closely with US, Israeli, and global legislators and
influencers on issues such as fighting BDS, recognizing Israeli indigeneity,
fighting historical appropriation, and strengthening the Jewish people’s
presence in Judea and Samaria. He was born in Israel to Jewish Refuseniks from
the Soviet Union, and was raised in the United States. At the age of 17, he made
Aliyah and served as a Paratrooper in the IDF. He is currently an Otzma Yehudit
Candidate.
Who you wanna party with this election?
As you all know, the Tel Aviv International Salon hosts the leaders of Israeli
political parties each election cycle speaking in English, but that isn't
enough.
As non-partisan honest brokers we also source hundreds of Olim volunteers for
the parties' election headquarters. These are great access points for Olim to
enter politics and helps to raise our community's voice across the political
spectrum. We have gotten thousands of Olim engaged over a decade of work with
Israeli politics, but we still have a lot more work to do.
Our community is 100,000 strong and growing everyday, so please email us at
[email protected] and let us know inside which party you would like to lend a
helping hand.
