Where a tortoise and a rabbit meet, strange calculations take place. It is a place where arithmetic and geometry meet dance and body language on a blank page.

One tortoise will teach one rabbit that he already knows a great deal, while she will discover that dance contains all the numbers and shapes she loves. They will measure how they move closer and farther apart, argue until they reach an agreement, and try to understand why easy questions can be so confusing.

Through a variety of situations and examples, using dance, words, colors, and sounds, the performance will encourage children to develop their curiosity and intuition for arithmetic and geometry.

Gal Barak Gorfung is a creator, dancer, and neuroscience researcher. He graduated from the dancer-training program under the artistic direction of Naomi Perlov and Ofir Dagan, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Psychology, with an emphasis in neuroscience, from Tel Aviv University.

Barak Gorfung works at the intersection of art, technology, and education in various settings. He has worked as a mathematics teacher for all ages and levels and dreams of integrating the study of body language and movement into the education system. His most recent work, Ihuï (Fusion), also created in collaboration with Adi Goral, was presented at the 2025 Israel Festival. He continues to work with creators such as Lior Zalmanson, Mor Shani, and Neta Brazilian.

Gal currently lives in the United States while undergoing cancer treatment, but continues to create and search for humanity across different fields.
