The legendary production of the Gesher Theatre returns to the stage thirty years after its premiere. Tom Stoppard's play reinterprets the plot of Hamlet, making two minor characters the central figures of the performance. The production is dedicated to the memory of the theatre's founder Eugeny Arye.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are two minor characters in Shakespeare's Hamlet. The Danish prince's two old schoolfriends arrive at the palace to spy on him for the king—and pay a heavy price for it. Modern playwright Tom Stoppard transformed the peripheral pair into the main heroes. Through their eyes we gain a glimpse behind the scenes of the world's most famous tragedy, in a sharp modern play that is entirely a hymn to humanity and the art of theatre.
The production is dedicated to the memory of Yevgeny Ariya, founder and artistic director of the theatre, who passed away this year.
