A culinary tasting tour of the Jaffa Flea Market in Tel Aviv on Friday morning. Includes 5–6 tastings, history, culture, and stories about the market.
It’s hard not to fall in love with the flea market. In recent years, Jaffa’s flea market has undergone a fascinating transformation. From a small, niche market, it has become an alternative marketplace. Around the market, shops run by young, rebellious designers, trendy bars, and unique chef restaurants have opened.
Whether you’re looking for the good old market of the past or are curious to discover its contemporary spirit and new edginess, our Jaffa tour—which offers a wonderful combination of both—will take you to new heights.
We’ll meet at the famous Clock Tower, one of the symbols perhaps most strongly identified with Jaffa. From there, we’ll begin among the antiques stalls, soak up a vintage atmosphere, get to know magical shops, discover who sells British uniforms and helmets from the Mandate period, find out where to drink vodka with cooked Persian lemon, and learn where you can go up for the most beautiful view of Jaffa.
Along the way, we’ll stop for excellent tastings: handmade Tripolitan couscous, sensational knafeh ice cream, burekas at Leon’s, refreshing creamy Jaffa malabi, local hummus, freshly squeezed juice, and more.
The tour price includes the tastings.
Please note: The tour will take place only if a minimum of 15 participants register.
All tours are conducted in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines and therefore:
A. Each group is limited to 20 participants בלבד.
B. Tastings are served in an individual portion for each participant.
C. We avoid prolonged entry into covered or enclosed spaces.
D. Our guides are equipped with disinfectant whenever necessary.
E. All businesses and stalls where we stop along the route have a Purple Badge.
