Join us for a community event marking three years since October 7—together, we will remember and look ahead with hope for better days.
We will begin with a ceremony and watch the documentary film Your Daughter, Yael. The film follows Yael, a 43-year-old woman with an intellectual disability who lived in Kibbutz Be’eri with her mother, Ofra Kedar, until October 7. While Ofra went out for a walk from which she did not return, Yael hid alone in the safe room for hours and survived the massacre. Yael must now cope with the independent life forced upon her and with the uncertainty surrounding her mother, who was kidnapped.
After the screening, we will hold a discussion with one of the film’s creators, director Gela Kaplun, moderated by Yehonatan Cohen, journalist and television presenter.
6.10 | Tuesday | 20:00 | Shapira Community Center
The film’s content is not graphic and is also suitable for teenagers.
