Huun-Huur-Tu

On October 6, the legendary ensemble Huun Huur Tu will perform at the Heichal HaTarbut in Tel Aviv. The group is one of the best-known acts on the world music scene; they have been nominated for a World Music Award and have performed at major international festivals. Their music is hypnotic, profound, and almost mystical—a unique combination of ancient throat singing, polyphony, and traditional instruments that creates a true journey through time. Music critics from The New York Times called their style “a musical wonder.”

For more than 30 years, the group has performed around the world, completed 16 tours of the United States and Canada, and collaborated with renowned artists including Kronos Quartet, Peter Gabriel, Ry Cooder, Carmen Rizzo, and Dhani Harrison.

Every Huun Huur Tu performance is not simply a concert, but a rare musical event in which meditative sounds blend with rhythmic energy and an ancient vocal tradition that has captured the hearts of listeners worldwide.
